An accomplished producer, songwriter, musician, and vocalist, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmunds began his career in the early '80s with the Cincinnati-based band the Delee. He released his first solo album, Lovers, in 1986, which lead to six more solo discs by the end of the '90s. His lovelorn crooning won him legions of diehard fans, and also led to a greatest hits compilation in 2000. In addition to his own extensive catalog, Babyface has crafted songs for a wide array of R&B and Pop stars, including Paula Abdul, Mary J. Blige, and Boyz II Men.
