McCoy, a platinum selling country act who had his biggest hits in the mid-1990s during the frenzy that ensued after Garth Brooks' mega success, is a bit of an anomaly. The Texas native is of partially Filipino descent, which is one thing that sets him apart in the virtually lily white world of country.
