Bob Welch achieved fame in the 1970s as the breathy singer of Fleetwood Mac who made "Sentimental Lady" and "Hypnotized" Lite Rock staples. His solo album French Kiss (1977) also went platinum -- it was the type of Top-40 pandering material that sells well but often draws fire from critics. More recent releases have failed to even do the former. Bob Welch Looks At Bop (1999) is a schmaltzy affair that will generate little interest in Bob or Bop.
