The flipside of '70s Disco was the less glossy, conspicuously less sexy sound of Lite Rock. Andy Pratt was one of the many loyal musicians who could sit at a piano and play out songs that were petal-soft and sweetened with lyrics that tugged at the heart. Never a major star (although he did chart), Pratt's music now seems as smooth and worthy of recognition as other acts that received all the attention at the time. It's worth putting your Elton John records away for a night to give Pratt's records a spin.
