The Kasenetz-Katz Super Circus (or Kasenetz-Katz Singing Orchestral Circus, among other names) was a New York, NY-based bubblegum "supergroup" created in the mid-1960's by "bubblegum pop" record producers Jerry Kasenetz and Jeff Katz.
Technically, the Singing Orchestral Circus was, in actuality, a conglomeration of eight groups on one record: the Ohio Express, the 1910 Fruitgum Company, The Music Explosion, Lt. Garcia's Magic Music Box, The Teri Nelson Group, 1989 Musical Marching Zoo, J.C.W. Ratfinks, and the <a... After one album, the roster (renamed "Kasenetz-Katz Super Circus") was reduced to five groups.
The 1910 Fruitgum Company, Ohio Express and Music Explosion remained, with The Shadows Of Knight and Professor Morrison's Lollipop being added. This lineup yielded the Top 25 hit "[m=352065]".
After the failed attempt to combine bubblegum music with classical composers, with the album [m=463637], the Kasenetz-Katz Super Circus would only release a a handful of singles in the 70's (the final being "Heart Get Ready For Love", in 1977), before the "group" was ended.
