DAYLIGHTERS Vinyl Records and CDs

Soul group Formed in Birmingham, Alabama by Tony Gideon, in 1956, as The Five Sparrows. The initial line up included Charles "Sparrow" Boyd (baritone), George Wood (baritone), his brother Dorsey Wood (tenor and lead), Tony Gideon (second tenor and lead) and Eddie Thomas (bass). Moved to Chicago area seeking for a record label. Through a local dj they met with Gerald Sims and recorded their debut single at Bea & Baby Records and then meeting Chuck Colbert started releasing records at Tip Top.
