In the '70s, the omnipresent Philly sound oozed so much smooth, silky soul that it eventually dripped its way to Memphis, where it was discovered by the Temprees. The result was some of the most lush, falsetto-sweet ballads this side of the Delfonics, with plenty of sexy rhythms and romantic sentiments.
