Formerly a partner with Tanya Donnelly in the Throwing Muses, Kristin Hersh's solo efforts have effected a more eclectic and sonic side of her musical persona. Hersh's soaring self-harmonies are glassy and pristine on some songs, while raw and gritty on others.
