A long-standing favorite of the San Francisco music scene, Carlos! are like the neighborhood kids who had tough, heart-full-of-napalm Punk brewing in their soul, but secretly got together and listened to the Beatles and the Beach Boys and talked about how cool the harmonies and hooks were. The end result? Music that's got an awful lot of grit and snarl through its "la la la" melodies and melting, gooey, lick-your-fingers-when-you're-done-listening harmonies. This Power Pop trio keeps it anything but clean, and that's a good thing.
