A female emcee originally from Detroit, Boss is arguably the most hardcore (in terms of violence, not sex) lady to ever touch a mic. Her one and only album, the vastly underrated Born Gangstaz dropped in '93, fuelled by bangers like "Deeper" and "Diary Of A Mad Bitch." Backed with exceptionally funky, sample-heavy beats from Erick Sermon, DJ Quik, and others, the record was a non-stop sonic bloodbath, with Boss and her accomplice Dee murdering everything in sight. Despite a decent buzz and some good press, Boss eventually disappeared into the vast zone of one-record rappers.
