The answer to many a Trivial Pursuit question, the Troggs existed on their own as wonderful pop tunesmiths and perhaps Britain's first Punk band. Known for their version of "Wild Thing" (and unwittingly creating the career of Tone Loc and boosting ocarina sales around the globe) the Troggs churned out hot-blooded Garage until the 1970s. Unjustly portrayed as unsophisticated cave men, their popularity finally seems to be growing; they've performed with R.E.M. and even played at Sting's wedding.
