JIMMY WILSON Vinyl Records and CDs

American West Coast blues singer, born approx. 1921-1923 in Louisiana; died 1965 in Dallas, Texas. Wilson was first discovered in 1951 while singing on the West Coast with the Rising Stars of Oakland. Two years later he cut a series of records, including "Tin Pan Alley", for Bob Geddins in Oakland with Que Martin (saxophone), King Soloman (piano), and Lafayette Thomas (guitar). After recording with Geddins in Dallas, Clarence Garlow rediscovered Wilson and brought him to Eddie Shuler's Goldband Records. He also recorded for Texas-based label Duke before his death.
