Beginning his career as a well respected arranger and composer for television in the Brazilian creative center of Bahia, Dori Caymmi came to be noticed in America in the ‘80s. Working with the likes of Quincy Jones, Sarah Vaughan, and Branford Marsalis, Caymmi’s lush guitar work began to be a fully realized integration of American and Brazilian jazz. He has since maintained a loyal following in both the States and Brazil.
