Moore was a very good blues drummer who worked with Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee. Who knows how the producers of the offbeat, but brilliant, cult classic Carnival of Souls thought to use him as the film's composer? His eerie, atmospheric work here is exceptional -- he should've had more opportunities to work on movies.
