Pulido grew up in the U.S., but his background is as bi-cultural and bilingual as you can get. His father is Roberto Pulido, the great Tejano musician, and Pulido grew up around music in the fertile border culture of Texas. He had never considered a career in music, however, until his father convinced him that the two should sing a duet. To everyone's surprise, the song took off, and Bobby was quickly offered a recording contract. He never looked back and he quickly occupied a place as one of Tejano's most important emerging artists.
