All the compositions presented on this record, with the exception of Pithoprakta, were performed for the first time in America by Lukas Foss and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, with Paul Zukofsky, violin soloist in the Penderecki Capriccio, at Kleinhans Music Hall, March 1968, during the 2nd Buffalo Festival of the Arts Today.
