What does it cost?

M (mint) ~ This rating is for factory-sealed albums and CDs. To earn this grade, a 45 rpm single record must be in its original sleeve and have NO WRITING on the labels or sleeve and no marks on the playing surface. The record or CD must be non-played. However it may have manufacturing defects. Since we do not play these records to grade them, we can not be responsible for these defects. These items could also be "cutouts" (items removed by the record company or distributor from its list of current products, and marked in some way to indicate this). These marks may be a rubber stamp or drill hole on a label, or a corner cut or saw mark on an album or CD. We always describe such marks when an item we sell has one or more of them. M- (mint minus) ~ This is the highest grading for an opened record or CD. It should look nearly non-played: shiny, glossy, with no visible marks on the playing surface. It may have a small mark on the label (which we will describe). It should also play with no audible defects. It should be close to a perfect record or CD. A cover or sleeve (either picture or non-picture) may have very light wrinkles. A styrene record label may have label bubbles. VG+ (very good plus) ~ A record or CD that has been handled and played infrequently and/or very carefully. Only slightly audible defects (such as a light noise at the beginning or end of a recording) would be included, but the remainder would be nearly flawless. The record may have several visual defects (minor marks, surface scuffs, writing on a label, etc.), which we will describe. A cover or sleeve (either picture or non-picture) may have light ring wear, a seam split, and/or a little writing on it. VG (very good) ~ A record or CD that is used but not abused; it may have some audible faults (pops, or scratches) and/or visual defects. Any noise would not overwhelm the music. How the record plays is more important than how it looks in assigning a grade. This is probably the lowest grade that most buyers would accept for a permanent addition to their collection. A cover or sleeve (picture or non-picture) may have light ring wear, some writing on it, and possibly a seam split. VG- (very good minus) ~ A record or CD that is rough but plays completely without skips, drop-outs, or repeats. It may have considerable label wear. A RECORD OF THIS GRADE SHOULD NOT BE PURCHASED AS A PERMANENT ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION, BUT ONLY AS A "FILL-IN" TO KEEP UNTIL YOU CAN ACQUIRE A BETTER COPY. A cover or sleeve (picture or non-picture) may have heavy ring wear, seam splits, and/or a very noticeable amount of writing on it. G+ (good plus) - A record or CD with very distracting noise throughout, but plays all the way through. It may have extensive label wear. We usually list items of this grade only if they are somewhat rare or unusual. A cover or sleeve (picture or non-picture) may have a large hole in it, tears, ripped seams, and/or a large amount of writing on it. G (good) ~ Only very rarely will we list records or sleeves of this or lower grades, and usually because the record is very hard to find. Note: In assigning grades for a record we play and evaluate only its most popular side, but we play that side completely, not only part of it. If the "B" side of a particular record is important to you, please contact us and we will evaluate it also. Please contact us at our e-mail address, by text message, or by phone if you have a question about any of our listings.

Shipping Costs

If you order includes a 45 rpm paper picture sleeve or record company sleeve, the record will be shipped in a white paper sleeve, with the picture or company sleeve accompanying it. Both will be enclosed in a plastic sleeve.
All shipping prices are for each record or CD, not for each album. All prices include tracking provided by the U.S. Postal Service, but do no include insurance (which would reimburse the amount you paid for your record(s), if they become damaged in the shipping. If you want insurance, the buyer must pay the additional cost for it before the items you have purchased are shipped.
If you make payment using PayPal, please make sure that the name and address listed for you on that service is accurate, as we are required to use the name and address provided by PayPal (instead of the name and address listed for you on MusicStack).
SHIPPING TO ADDRESSES IN EUROPE, AUSTRALIA, OCEANIA, MEXICO, SOUTH AMERICA, JAPAN, ASIA, AND OTHER ADDRESSES OUTSIDE U.S.A.:
Before ordering, please read the information below on shipping costs, restrictions, and our policy about customs forms.
The U.S. Postal Service has been steadily increasing the rates for shipping packages to other nations. Sometimes it costs twice as much to ship a package from the United States to another nation as it would to ship the same package from that nation to the United States. Unfortunately, there is nothing Amanda's Attic can do to avoid these rates. Shipping by other services, such as Federal Express (FedEx) or United Parcel Service (UPS), is even more expensive. We are keeping our international shipping rates as low as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
Import duties, taxes, and customs charges are sometimes collected by other nations on the recordings we send. These are usually collected from the customer upon delivery of the package. Because we do not know what, if any, such charges will be added, they are not included in either the item price or the shipping charge. Please check with your nation's customs office prior to purchase to determine what these additional costs will be. Do not ask us to place inaccurate information on the customs forms. It would be illegal for us to do so. We report the exact amount the customer paid for the items we ship and will not designate them as "gifts" or "samples".
International packages of more than 4 pounds (about 6 or more record albums) must be shipped by Priority International Mail. The cost of shipping these packages is determined by their weight. We strongly recommend the addition of insurance for these packages. Though more expensive, Priority International Mail allows tracking of the shipment to final delivery. (Lower cost First Class Package International is available only on packages of up to 4 pounds, and usually tracks the package only to arrival in your nation--not to delivery.) If you want insurance, please inform us when you place your order. We will not be responsible for an order lost or damaged in the mail unless insurance in purchased. We will not ship an order with a price of $50 or more (before shipping costs) to any address outside the U.S.A. unless insurance is purchased for it.
