Processing your first order


Great! You have just received your first order from MusicStack. What do I do now?

Follow these steps:

1) Sign into MusicStack

2) Click on the order you wish to process

3) Select from the drop down menu on the right the status that best represents the status of the item/order.

You should mark items that you have available as AVAILABLE (and then give the buyer information on where they should mail you payment if not a PayPal order).

Once you receive payment for the order, you should (and are expect to) go back into the order page and change the status to SHIPPED to complete the order in our system. After you do this, then you ship the actual item out. DO NOT ship any goods out until you receive payment. If you fail to do this, you might very well never get paid.

You will notice that each time you change the status of an order and click UPDATE ORDER, the buyer will be sent an order status update email letting them know of the status change in their order. This saves you time from having to email the customer outside of the MusicStack system to let them know the status of their order.

By updating the status of orders in the system buyers can at anytime sign into the system to check order status. Also MusicStack can keep track of orders for commission tracking purposes and also to gather metrics for calculating your seller statistics.

We require you to update the status of orders on MusicStack all the way through marking it shipped or cancelling the order. If this is not done, your account will be locked out after a certain period of time until you properly mark the status of all your orders.
