Review
Though pianist Red Garland often played ballads at a medium tempo bounce, he slows things down considerably on this set for bruised romantics (when a pretty woman is on a jazz album, you know it's a make-out session). Garland plays with space and melody throughout, but always with the song in mind. His aching reading of "Where Or When" is one of the best ever.
