Review
Peoples' gritty gospel was always different: it's like ripping your heart out, throwing it on the floor, and having a sit-down with God about it. Songs linger until the job is done, re-looping concentrated choruses until the message gets through. It's Sunday morning, Wednesday night, the choir loft and the church picnic all rolled into one. Just don't plan on sittin' down.
